Norman Sieroka studierte Philosophie, Physik und Mathematik. Er erwarb 1999 den M.Phil. für Wissenschaftsphilosophie und -geschichte der Universität Cambridge sowie 2002 das Physikdiplom an der Universität Heidelberg. Danach promovierte er in Physik über "Neurophysiologische Aspekte der Zeitwahrnehmung" (Institut für Theoretische Physik, Heidelberg 2004, englisch) und war gleichzeitig als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter für Philosophie an der Universität Bamberg (bis 2004) und als Physiker in der Neurologischen Universitätsklinik Heidelberg angestellt (bis 2006). Seit 2004 ist er an der Professur für Philosophie der ETH Zürich beschäftigt (von 2004 bis 2010 als Assistent, seit Mai 2010 als Oberassistent). Er hat dort 2009 mit der Arbeit "Umgebungen. Philosophischer Konstruktivismus im Anschluss an Hermann Weyl und Fritz Medicus" promoviert. Seine philosophischen Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Bereich Wissenschaftstheorie (insbesondere Philosophie der Physik und Mathematik), Metaphysik und Phänomenologie sowie in der Philosophie der frühen Neuzeit und der Naturphilosophie.
